Carrie McCrea Hanlon

Ms. Hanlon graduated from the University of California at Davis where she received a Bachelor of Science in child development, psychology, education and linguistics; she obtained a post-graduate teaching certificate also at UC Davis. Carrie attended law school at California Western School of Law in San Diego where she served as Notes and Comments Editor for the school's law review and published From Griggs to Wards Cove: The Blurring of Disparate Impact and Disparate Treatment Under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, 26 California Western Law Review 449 (1990). Ms. Hanlon was the recipient of the Faculty Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Law School and American Jurisprudence Awards in Civil Procedure and Labor Law.

Ms. Hanlon began her legal career in Las Vegas at Beckley, Singleton, Jemison, Cobeaga & List and in 1992 she joined the law firm of Thorndal, Armstrong, Delk, Balkenbush & Eisinger where she became a partner in 1997 and vice president of the firm in 1998.

In 1999, Carrie opened a staff law office for The Hartford Insurance Company where she served as managing attorney for two years. Carrie is now a partner of Pyatt Silvestri & Hanlon. Ms. Hanlon has authored numerous publications and presented seminars for both attorneys and risk managers on a wide range of topics dealing with insurance defense, employment law and medical malpractice.

Carrie is involved in competitive swimming at the Master's level and dotes on her three Golden Retrievers.
